Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Cristian Eloy Lopez Zabala, an individual based in the Dominican Republic, who makes and operates CAD Assembler ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using CAD Assembler (the website, the web app and the desktop app, together "the Service"), you agree to them. If you use the Service for a company, you accept them on its behalf.
1. Your account
- You need an account to use the app. Give a real email address and keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- One account is for one person. Don't share your login; the Team plan (coming soon) is for several users.
2. Plans, payments and renewal
- The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on the Pricing page. Paid plans (Standard, Pro) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly, in US dollars.
- Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and Merchant of Record. It charges you, issues your invoices and handles sales tax and VAT. Its own terms apply to the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel, switch plans or update your card anytime from the customer portal linked in your receipt or in the app.
- When you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
- We may change prices for new periods. We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription. Founding-member discounts last as long as the subscription stays active.
- If a payment fails and isn't fixed, your account returns to the Free plan.
3. Your content
- Your parts, assemblies, projects and drawings ("your content") belong to you.
- You give us permission to store, process and display your content only to run the Service for you (for example, saving your library and showing it on your devices).
- If your plan ends, nothing is deleted: content over the Free limits becomes read-only until you upgrade. You can ask us to delete your account and content anytime.
- Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.
4. Catalog parts
Parts in the shared catalog are provided as a starting point. They may not match a manufacturer's current product exactly; check them against the manufacturer's data before use.
5. Your drawings are your responsibility
CAD Assembler is a drafting tool. It doesn't check that a design is structurally sound, meets codes, or will fit on site. You are responsible for checking every drawing, dimension, quantity, cut list, estimate and quote before using it for fabrication, ordering, pricing or submittals. Have them reviewed by a qualified professional where required.
6. Acceptable use
Don't: break or overload the Service, try to get into other users' data, reverse-engineer the app, resell access, use it for anything illegal, or get around plan limits. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running and your data safe, and we keep backups, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of important work (for example, DXF exports). We may add, change or remove features; if we remove a major paid feature, you may cancel and ask for a prorated refund of the unused period.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning when possible. If we ever shut the Service down, we'll give at least 60 days' notice so you can export your work, and refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, wrong materials ordered, fabrication or installation costs, or delays. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that can't be waived.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with its date and, for important changes, email you at least 14 days before they apply. Using the Service after that means you accept them.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Disputes go to the courts of Santo Domingo, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to use your own courts.
